With a decade’s experience in diagnostic neuropathology, Dr. William H. Yong is Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, former Director of Neuropathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and currently head of the UCLA Brain Tumor Translational Resource, a biospecimen repository and resource to facilitate research and test development. Dr. Yong is a past recipient of the Lucien Rubinstein Award in Neuro-Oncology and is heavily involved in evaluating new diagnostic tests. Dr. Yong has especial interests in brain and pituitary tumors. Dr. Yong and Dr. Mischel work closely with Dr. Timothy Cloughesy, head of the UCLA Neuro-Oncology Program to develop special testing for UCLA clinical trial patients. Dr. Yong does consultative work in tumor, neuromuscular, and general neuropathology. |
